BALTIMORE, MD As the city of Baltimore gears up for the 2013 Baltimore Grand Prix taking place this weekend, the MD Transportation Authority (MDTA) and the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) remind motorists to anticipate delays, plan ahead and Know Before You Go!

The Grand Prix will take place Friday, August 30, through Sunday, September 1, 2013.  Expect traffic impacts and road closures on I-395 from Wednesday, August 28 through Tuesday, September 3, 2013.

**UPDATED SCHEDULE**

CLOSURE OF RAMP FROM

POTEE STREET/PATAPSCO AVENUE TO NORTHBOUND I-895

 

WHAT:           The entrance ramp from Potee Street/Patapsco Avenue to northbound I-895 in Baltimore City will remain continuously closed (24/7) for approximately 45 additional days.  Previously the closure was anticipated to reopen on August 15. 

The detour route will continue to direct motorists to I-895 via Frankfurst Avenue.

WHEN:           It is anticipated to be reopened no later than September 30, weather permitting.  The continuous closure of the ramp from southbound I-895 to Potee Street (Exit 7) is expected to begin on or about October 2.

WHY:              Repairs to the I-895 Potee Street and Patapsco Avenue entrance and exit ramps are part of the MD Transportation Authority's (MDTA) project to replace the decks of the I-895 bridges over Patapsco Avenue, Potee Street and Hanover Street.
