OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES IN

WHITE MARSH FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 21 - 26

Closures part of I-95 Express Toll LanesSM Project

WHAT:          Weather permitting, two lanes of southbound and northbound I-95 at the MD 43 interchange (White Marsh Boulevard) in Northeast Baltimore will be temporarily closed for overnight work.

Weather permitting, one lane in both directions of Campbell Boulevard between Honeygo Boulevard and Franklin Square Drive will be temporarily closed for overnight work.

WHEN:          Double-lane closures will occur on northbound and southbound I-95 Monday through Thursday, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Saturday, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.  During Mondays closure on southbound I-95, periodic 10-15 minute traffic drags, during which police will bring vehicles to a reduced pace prior to the work zone, are scheduled.

Single-lane closures will occur Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning in both directions of Campbell Boulevard between Honeygo Boulevard and Franklin Square Drive.

Please note that additional temporary, overnight closures may occur as necessary into next month.  The MDTA will issue traffic advisories when additional closures are scheduled.

WHY:             Crews will be erecting steel as part of the reconstruction of the I-95/MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) interchange for the Maryland Transportation Authoritys (MDTA) I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETLSM) Project.

Campbell Boulevard will be widened to five lanes -- two lanes in each direction and a new center left-turn lane into Nottingham Square -- for improved traffic flow.  A new pedestrian sidewalk will be constructed along eastbound Campbell Boulevard with underpass lighting.

The new I-95 Express Toll Lanes are expected to open in late 2014.  For more information, visit I95ExpressTollLanes.com.
