THREE MONTH CLOSURE OF RAMP FROM
POTEE STREET/PATAPSCO AVENUE TO NORTHBOUND I-895
WHAT: The entrance ramp from Potee Street/Patapsco Avenue to northbound I-895 in Baltimore City will remain continuously closed (24/7) for approximately 45 additional days. Previously the closure was anticipated to reopen on July 7.
The detour route will continue to direct motorists to I-895 via Frankfurst Avenue.
WHEN: It is anticipated to be reopened as early as August 15, weather permitting. The continuous three-month closure of the ramp from southbound I-895 to Potee Street (Exit 7) is expected to begin on or about August 19.
WHY: Repairs to the I-895 Potee Street and Patapsco Avenue entrance and exit ramps are part of the MD Transportation Authority's (MDTA) project to replace the decks of the I-895 bridges over Patapsco Avenue, Potee Street and Hanover Street.
