THIS WEEKEND

WHAT:         Weather permitting, the ramps from eastbound and westbound Caton Avenue to northbound I-95 in Baltimore City will be closed temporarily to traffic.

From eastbound Caton Avenue, the detour route will direct motorists to Washington Boulevard, to INNER LOOP I-695, to northbound I-95 (Exit 11A).

From westbound Caton Avenue, the detour route will direct motorists to Washington Boulevard, to INNER LOOP I-695, to northbound I-95 (Exit 11A).  A second detour will be to southbound I-95, to INNER LOOP I-695 (Exit 49B), to Wilkins Avenue (Exit 12C), to OUTER LOOP I-695 to northbound I-95 (Exit 11A).

WHEN:         Closure will occur Friday, Dec. 12, at 10 p.m. to Monday, Dec. 15, at 5 a.m.  All dates and times are approximate and dependent on weather or events.

WHY:            Toll Dollars At Work:  The ramp closure is part of the Maryland Transportation Authoritys (MDTA) two-year, $66 million project to remove and replace the existing concrete deck (riding) surface and roadway joints on mainline I-95 and the ramps serving I-95 in Baltimore City.
