WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF RAMP FROM

SOUTHBOUND MD 151 TO SOUTHBOUND I-895

NEXT WEEK

WHAT:          Weather permitting, the ramp in Baltimore City from southbound MD 151 (Erdman Avenue) to southbound I-895 will be temporarily closed to traffic for cleaning and painting.

WHEN:           Sunday, August 4, through Sunday, August 11, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the ramp from southbound MD 151 (Erdman Avenue) to southbound I-895 is scheduled to be closed.

The detour route will direct motorists to eastbound US 40, to westbound Moravia Road, to southbound I-895.

WHY:              The work is part of the MD Transportation Authority's (MDTA) $1.9 million preservation project to clean and paint the structural steel on 10 overpass ramps and bridges along the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Thruway (I-895).
