Facility:  (I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel

(I-895) Batlimore Harbor Tunnel Lane Closures for January 31, 2013

The Northbound Left Passing Lane (beginning at Post 3 thru Mile Marker M-102-N) is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evening of January 31, 2013 for attenuator repairs. Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following morning.

The Southbound Left Passing Lane (beginning at Mile Marker M-110 thru Post 3) is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evening of January 31, 2013 for attenuator repairs.  Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following morning.

This is a tentative schedule that is subject to change at any time with little notice due to weather, traffic conditions, emergency incidents, or priority closures.

Facility: (I-95) Fort McHenry Tunnel

ROUTINE INSPECTIONS TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF RAMP FROM SOUTHBOUND I-95 TO NORTHBOUND I-395 THIS WEEKEND

WHAT:  Weather-permitting, the ramp from southbound I-95 to northbound I-395 (Exit 53) will be closed.

The detour route will direct motorists to Caton Avenue (Exit 50), to northbound I-95, to northbound I-395 (Exit 53).                      

WHEN:  Saturday, Feb. 2, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Due to inclement weather, the closure originally scheduled for Jan. 26 has been rescheduled for this date.

WHY:  Inspectors will be conducting routine annual facility inspections.

Facility: (I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel

(I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Closures for Week of January 28, 2012

The Eastbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evening of January 28, 2013 for scheduled maintenance operations.  Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following mornings.

The Westbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evenings of January 29 & 30, 2013 for scheduled maintenance operations.  Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following mornings.

The Northbound Left Passing Lane, beginning at Post 3 thruogh Mile Marker M-102-N, is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evening of January 30, 2013 for scheduled maintenance operations.

The Southbound Left Passing Lane is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evening of January 30, 2013 for scheduled maintenance operations.

Facility: (I-95) Fort McHenry Tunnel

(I-95) Fort McHenry Tunnel Closures for week of January 28, 2013

The following closures are tentatively scheduled at the Fort McHenry Tunnel the week of 1/28/2013 through 2/3/2013;

  • Monday 1/28 - Bore 1 & Bore 4 for maintenance.
  • Tuesday 1/29 - Bore 2 & Bore 4 for maintenance.
  • Wednesday 1/30 - Bore 1 & Bore 4 for maintenance.
  • Thursday 1/31 - Bore 1 & Bore 4 for maintenance.
  • Friday 2/1 - Bore 4 for maintenance.Saturday 2/2 Bore 4 for maintenance.
  • Sunday 2/3 - NO CLOSURES.

This is a tentative schedule subject to change due to weather, heavy traffic, incidents or priority closures.


Facility:  (US 50/301) Bay Bridge

BayBridge (US 50/301) Lane Closures and Traffic Patterns Scheduled for the Week of Jan. 27 - Feb. 3, 2013

All work will be performed weather permitting.  The MDTA urges motorists to drive with caution and obey all traffic-control devices and lane-control signals.  Lane closures are subject to change and closure times are dependent on traffic volumes. 

TOLL DOLLARS AT WORK

Two lanes of the westbound span may be closed Sunday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning for preservation/maintenance work.

The westbound span may be closed Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning for preservation/maintenance work. Two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span during the full westbound span closures.

One lane of the westbound span may be closed Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for preservation/maintenance work.

One lane of the eastbound span may be closed Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for preservation/maintenance work.  Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.

When daytime two-way traffic is in effect on the westbound span, toll lanes 1 through 5, on the left side of the toll plaza, will be directed into contra-flow traffic on the westbound span.  Motorists wishing to use an E-ZPass®Only lane to access the eastbound span should use toll lanes 6 or 9.

Facility: (I-95) JFK Highway

OVERNIGHT CLOSURE OF RAMP FROM SOUTHBOUND I-95
TO WESTBOUND MD 43 THIS SUNDAY
Ramp closure part of I-95 Express Toll LanesSM Project

WHAT:  Weather-permitting, Exit 67B from southbound I-95 to westbound MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) will be temporarily closed for night work. 

The detour route will direct motorists to eastbound MD 43 (Exit   67A), to eastbound MD 7, to westbound MD 43.

WHEN:  Sunday, Jan. 27, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

WHY:  The work is part of the reconstruction of the I-95/MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) interchange for the Maryland Transportation Authoritys (MDTA) I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETLsSM) Project.

The Eastbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evening of January 22, 2013 for maintenance operations; re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following morning.

The Westbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evenings of January 23, 2013 for maintenance operations; re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following morning.

Lane one north and southbound through the East and Westbound Tunnels are scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evening of January 24, 2013 for attenuator repairs; re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following morning.

WHAT: Weather permitting, the ramp from southbound I-95 to eastbound and westbound Caton Avenue may be closed temporarily to traffic.

The detour route will direct motorists to I-695 (Exit 49A), to Hollins Ferry Road (Exit 9), to northbound I-695, to northbound I-95, to eastbound or westbound Caton Avenue.

WHEN:  Saturday, Jan. 19, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHY:  Inspectors will be conducting routine annual facility inspections.
