Facility: (US 50/301) Bay Bridge

All work will be performed weather permitting.  The MDTA urges motorists to drive with caution and obey all traffic-control devices and lane-control signals.  Lane closures are subject to change and closure times are dependent on traffic volumes.  

TOLL DOLLARS AT WORK

The westbound span may be closed Sunday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning for preservation/maintenance work. Two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span during the full westbound span closures.

One lane of the eastbound span may be closed Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. depending on traffic for preservation/maintenance work.  Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.

When daytime two-way traffic is in effect on the westbound span, toll lanes 1 through 5, on the left side of the toll plaza, will be directed into contra-flow traffic on the westbound span.  Motorists wishing to use an E-ZPass®Only lane to access the eastbound span should use toll lanes 6 or 9.

Facility: (I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel

(I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Closures for the Week of March 18, 2013

The Eastbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evenings of March 18, and 19, 2013 for inspections, and maintenance operations.  Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following mornings.

The Westbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 8:00pm on the evenings of February 20 and 21, 2013 for inspections, and maintenance operations.  Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30am the following mornings.

This is a tentative schedule that is subject to change at any time with little notice due to weather, traffic conditions, emergency incidents, or priority closures.

OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF SOUTHBOUND I-95 IN WHITE MARSH FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 18

Closures part of I-95 Express Toll LanesSM Project

Weather permitting, the following closures and detours are scheduled to take place the week of March 18, 2013 for crews to perform bridge demolition work and removal.

Saturday, March 21, from midnight to 6 a.m. the following morning, all lanes of southbound I-95 at the MD 43 interchange (White Marsh Boulevard) in Northeast Baltimore will be temporarily closed for overnight work.

  • Traffic will be detoured to Exit 67B (westbound White Marsh Boulevard), to southbound I-95.  Police will be directing traffic across at the signalized intersection.

The work is part of the reconstruction of the I-95/MD 43 interchange for the Maryland Transportation Authoritys (MDTA) I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETLsSM) Project.

Facility: (I-695) FSK, Curtis Creek Drawbridge

(I-695) CURTIS CREEK DRAWBRIDGE OPENINGS SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 13 THROUGH 15, 2013

The (I-695) Curtis Creek Drawbridge will open for U.S. Coast Guard water traffic on March 13 and 15, 2013. Drawbridge will remain open until water vessel passes beneath.

SCHEDULE:

1) Wednesday, March 13 - 9:00am and again at 6:00pm.

2) Friday, March 15 - 9:00am, 11:00am and again at 3:00pm.

Closures part of I-95 Express Toll LanesSM Project

Weather permitting, the following closures and detours are scheduled to take place the week of March 11, 2013 for crews to perform bridge demolition work and removal.

Monday, March 11, and Tuesday, March 12, from midnight to 5 a.m. the following morning, all lanes of northbound I-95 at the MD 43 interchange (White Marsh Boulevard) in Northeast Baltimore will be temporarily closed for overnight work.

·                    Traffic will be detoured to Exit 67A (eastbound White Marsh Boulevard), to eastbound MD 7 (Philadelphia Road), to westbound White Marsh Boulevard, to  northbound I-95.

Wednesday, March 13, and Thursday, March 14, from midnight to 5 a.m. the following morning, all lanes of southbound I-95 at the MD 43 interchange (White Marsh Boulevard) in Northeast Baltimore will be temporarily closed for overnight work.

ROUTINE INSPECTIONS TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF RAMP FROM NORTHBOUND I-95 TO HANOVER STREET THIS SATURDAY

WHAT:   Weather permitting, the ramp from northbound I-95 to Hanover Street (Exit 54) will be closed temporarily to traffic. 

The detour route will direct motorists to Key Highway (Exit55), to eastbound McComas Street, to a u-turn onto westbound  McComas Street, to Hanover Street.

WHEN:    Saturday, March 9, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHY:       Inspectors will be conducting routine annual facility inspections.
