WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF I-95 RAMPS IN BALTIMORE CITY

 

WHAT: The ramp from southbound I-95 to southbound MD 295 (Exit 52) will be closed temporarily to traffic. The detour route will direct motorists to I-695 East (Outer Loop), to southbound MD 295 (Exit 7A).

The ramp from northbound I-95 to Keith Avenue (Exit 56) will be closed temporarily to traffic. The detour route will direct motorists to O'Donnell Street (Exit 57), to Interstate Avenue, to southbound I-95, to Keith Avenue.

WHEN: Weather permitting, the ramp from southbound I-95 to southbound MD 295 will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 3, and Friday, Jan. 5, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Saturday, Jan. 6, from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning.

Weather permitting, the ramp from northbound I-95 to Keith Avenue (Exit 56) will be closed Thursday, Jan. 4, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

WHY: Crews will be performing bridge repairs.

Facility: (I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel

During tunnel closures at the (I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, drivers may experience 15-20 minute delays while two-way operations (during which one lane of southbound and northbound traffic is directed into the tunnel that remains open) are implemented. Closure times are dependent on traffic volumes.

The Northbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 9 p.m. on the evening of Jan. 3, 2018, for maintenance operations. Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4 a.m. on the following morning.

The Southbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 9 p.m. on the evening of Jan. 4, 2018, for maintenance operations. Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4 a.m. on the following morning.

This is a tentative schedule that is subject to change at any time due to weather, traffic conditions, emergency incidents, or priority closures.
