Physical Agility Test Process
To begin the application process with the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police, download the Physical Agility Test Confirmation Form and fill out the form completely. A list of Physical Agility Test dates can be found at the bottom of the Physical Agility Test Confirmation Form. Once completed, this form may be faxed to (410) 537-7640 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Next, download the Medical Practitioner's Certification Form. Have this form filled out by your doctor/medical practitioner. Please ensure that all three pages are filled out accurately and completely (i.e. date and signatures). This form is to be brought with you to your Physical Agility Test.
The Physical Agility Test is comprised of the following exercises:
- Sit & Reach (16 inches)
- Vertical Jump (15 inches)
- Sit-Ups (28 in one minute)
- 300-Meter Run (completed in less than 70.1 seconds)
- Push-Ups (24 in one minute)
- 1.5 Mile Run (completed in less than 15 minutes and 55 seconds)
The Physical Agility Test is a highly intensive fitness test. It is designed to test your aerobic and anaerobic fitness level. For this reason, there are no breaks between exercises.
The Pre-Employment Physical Agility Assessment Test is provided to help applicants prepare for the Physical Agility Test.
