The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will close the center lane of the westbound Bay Bridge Tuesday, Dec. 3, through Friday, Dec. 6,  from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. daily. There will be no center lane closure today (Dec. 2).

The extended timeframe for the center-lane closure is needed for two reasons:

1.    Based on weather forecasts, crews are taking advantage of the good temperatures this week to pour concrete.

Holiday Travel Tips For Maryland’s Toll Facilities

BALTIMORE, MD – With the July 4^th holiday falling on a Thursday this year, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) anticipates heavy traffic volumes on the Bay Bridge starting Wednesday, July 3, through Sunday, July 7.  

On Wednesday, June 5, at approximately 11 a.m., the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Maryland will be crossing the westbound span of the Bay Bridge. The right and center lanes (buffer lane) will be closed temporarily while runners make their way across the bridge. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Please use caution when traveling the bridge.
