Chesapeake House on I-95 in Cecil County is Closed for Reconstruction
 

Maryland House Travel Plaza on I-95 - Now Open

 

The MD Transportation Authority and Areas USA announce that the new $30 million Maryland House Travel Plaza along I-95 in Harford County is now open to the public. With the Maryland House open, the Chesapeake House Travel Plaza on I-95 in Cecil County will close for reconstruction.

The new 42,000 square-foot Maryland House features food from Wendy’s, Phillips Seafood, Dunkin’ Donuts, Jerry’s Subs & Pizza, Currito, Nathan’s Famous, Auntie Anne’s and Carvel. The new 5,700 square-foot A Plus convenience store at the Sunoco high-speed fueling station features food from Elevation Burger.

  • Contemporary design and natural lighting;
  • Bus parking and indoor/outdoor seating;
  • Free Wi-Fi;
  • Modern restroom facilities and equipment;
  • LEED certification pending building with “green” features;
  • Staffed Welcome Center; and
  • Kids Korner seating area.

Chesapeake House Travel Plaza on I-95 - Closed For Reconstruction
 

The Chesapeake House Travel Plaza on I-95 is currently closed for reconstruction and will reopen in the summer/fall of 2014.  The redevelopment plan includes contemporary design, additional bus parking, free WiFi, gas service, food concessions and a staffed Welcome Center.

Food Concessions:

  • Earl of Sandwich
  • Pizza Hut
  • Kentucky Fried Chicken
  • Wendy’s
  • Peet’s Coffee and Tea
  • Auntie Anne’s

Planned facilities are designed for LEED certification.
